My name is Eric Hughes. I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago. I have a Masters degree in Public Administration, I am also a military veteran (USN). I currently work for the state of Illinois as a Juvenile Justice Specialist and I love working with the youth population and giving back to the community.
My name is Mae Hughes. I have lived and worked my entire life throughout the Chicagoland area. I am a C.A.R.A alum, and I also have extensive experience in the addiction and recovery field. I have witnessed our youth go mentally bankrupt and our communities turned into mazes of dysfunction. I'm also a believer that in order to solve this problem we must start from the beginning. Hope4Chicago believes in the importance of assisting individuals that suffer with mental health issues. Many times these individuals are overlooked and we at Hope4Chicago feel that they are just important. These individuals are proactive and productive. Our community clean-up events have had many of these individuals. These individuals have brought such joy, accomplishment and pride on both sides and as Hope4Chicago grows we will continue to look at the "overlooked".
